John Whitehead is a graduate student pursuing his M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and is currently completing his clinical training at CBT Denver. Before entering the counseling field, John worked as a special education teacher for six years, where he developed a strong passion for supporting children, adolescents, and families through a variety of challenges.

John values creating a genuine space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. His counseling approach emphasizes authenticity, curiosity, and strong therapeutic relationships while drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and person-centered techniques. He has a particular interest in working with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, social anxiety, life transitions, personal growth, and other challenges that impact overall well-being.

Outside of counseling, John enjoys traveling, basketball, yoga, and cooking.
